Great looking job
If it runs as good as it looks (and I bet it does) he should be all smiles. :bike:

Here's my '74.
She's got a Cycle Electric generator, Tech Cycle starter, S&S Shorty E carb, Hydroclutch 7184 conversion, Lyle Landstrom sand-cast finned air cleaner cover & all kinds of brass pieces (pegs, risers, grips, brake & shift linkages, gauge pod, etc.) machined by yours truly as my first go at an ancient Bridgeport down on the Miami River at a yatch-rebuilding joint..

I found an old MPD finned primary cover on eGay & a twisted sissy bar from Bill's Custom Cycles in PA.
Nicky Bootz relocated the filler & petcock so that I could Frisco-mount a 3.5-gallon peanut tank using a cut-up EZ Bob mount.

The battery box mounted behind the primary with the oil filter above it was my own design --- it keeps the dino-fluid in that big-assed filter cool & detaches in about a minute by swinging away & giving full accesss to the battery.

The seat, solidly-mounted is good for a 500 or 600-mile day due to curvature of the homemade pan being correct & the ergonomics between it, the forwards & apehangers being spot-on.

Thanks, Hossamania ---- I really appreciate the kind words.

It started out as a frame with two wheels & 16 milk crates full of greasy, mostly-iffy parts in 1992.
I had to learn EVERYTHING from scratch using just my factory service manual, the gearjead mentality I inherited from my Dad & my own imagination.

She was fickle at first, mostly electrical issues, until I made up my own wiring harness with cloth-covered wire soldered to insulated connectors & ran it inside the frame.
I haven't had an issue since.  :chop:  :chop:  :chop:
