Title: Drive Belt Identification question
Post by: Tsani on August 27, 2009, 01:19:40 PM
Well, the Dealer is no help on this one, got a deer in the headlights look. A friend of mine gave me a new looking drive belt. Someone once told me that I could ID it by the color of the HD symbol on it. Any truth to that? It has a purple colored emblem on it. If I remember right, mine was originally white. Thanks.

I would say count the number of teeth and measure the width

The width is right. Figured I might have to count the teeth. Was hoping to avoid that, don't have that many fingers! :embarrassed:

Well, if it's a 136 tooth belt, you're going to need some help...where you at :teeth:
I'm kind of curious myself...my belt, which is the stock original, has an orange bar and shield.
Cheers, Jeff
