Title: SONY RADIO FLHT STANDARD
Post by: tmwmoose on October 25, 2009, 06:00:30 PM
Second radio in bike maybe two years old now starting to screw up when CD is on its last songs the sound starts cutting in an out, unit stays lit though I'm thinking its the CD reading doohickey same action as when ya hit a good bump in the road. My First Sony didn't last more than acouple years either. I know its a rougher life than in a car . I also have the hawg wired amp and biketronics adapter. So for all the standard rider's running Sony's hows it working for you and as someone found a better system maybe , how about a marine unit any one have one installed?

Only brand I know of that the CD mech will last is Eclipse. I have just use a USB memory stick and it holds 200-300 songs. To be honest, between the memory stick and XM I have no idea if the even IS a CD in my radio right now.

I currently run a Sony and Biketronics set up, and my CD player works, but I found that it pretty much just skips while on the road. The stereo has a built in MP3 player with 1 gb memory, so I pretty much just listen to that. Had XM but just cancelled it due to price.
