I have this list of filters from a previous post. Although Wix was not listed!
These Oil Filters
have 3/4" x 16tpi threads,
8 psi by-pass valve,
anti-drain back valve.
Recommended filters. Available filters include
* Purolator PL10241 / PL25230
* Mobil1 M1-102
* Bosch 3330
* AMSOil SMF 133/134/135
* Baldwin B1413
* Fram PH6022, PH6065A
* Hastings LF576
* NAPA 1348
* Purolator ML168
Although those filters will fit, most if not all are designed for some other application. The anti-drainback valve is not needed on an Evo oil system, and the weak scavenge system isn`t helped by having an unnecessary anti-drainback valve in the flow path.
Look up 51215 in the Wix filter lookup, you will find that it is the proper oil filter for our engines.
There are lots of websites out there with all kinds of charts showing what oil filter fits what. Many are wrong.
I've used the Bosch 3330 for years with no issues. $6.50 at Autozone.

I agree. There are a lot of different micron ratings and too restrictive a filter might cause you problems. You may be bypassing more oil than you are filtering.
I know that the Fram numbers PH 6022 & PH 6065A are correct for a Harley Evo. Purolator is a ML16822. As stated above, Wix is 51215 and NAPA is 1215.

I think Zanotti has the stock, Harley black oil filters for evo engine, 63805-80A @ $5.84 - our local dealers have them on sale many of the times for similar prices, I usually pick up a few at a time, as they are usually out where the customers can just grab a few. Even full price is only about $6.50.

Be it car or bike, I always use the stock filter recommended by the manufacturer. No point in using anything else.
