They probably sold you hose that meets SAE 30R7, which is used for fuel, emissions systems etc. It will work fine for your oil lines. I have been using SAE 30R7 hose for many years. It will hold up well.

I have been using rubber fuel injection line from Auto Zone on my Evo, works just fine.

I usually specify I want transmission cooler line.  I've seen cases where fuel line gets soft and soggy when used with oil.

True Old Crow-tranny lines would probably be the better choice, but I have seen many tranny lines go soft also. Six of one or half a doz of the other?

Some times they sell you SAE 30R6 which does not have as high a heat rating as
SAE 30R7 but I used 30R6 for my oil cooler an entire summer, 5000+ miles without and
problems. Fuel injection lines are better. I found a set of pre-formed OEM lines for my '90 Ultra
and prefer the fit of the OEM .

SAE 30R6 = Resists temperatures up to 212°F (100°C)
SAE 30R7 = Temperature Range F & C: -40˚F to +257˚F (-40˚C to +125˚C)
