Title: 98 ultra classic
Post by: oldskool on June 28, 2011, 12:09:39 PM
Bike was in a accident, last fall my bro hit a buck on his way home! Does anyone know what significance the lighter plays in the harness? Does it complete a circuit?

Not unless something else is pulling positive positive power from it or is grounded to it. And that would just be from the wires going to it any way not the lighter itself.

Alright thanks Nebraska Rider! As I said in my first post my Bro hit a Buck last fall on his way home and now we are putting it back together and we have nothing the only thing that has power are the radio and the speedo light goes on other than that Nothing! won't roll over when I hit the button! All other lights in fairing don't go on and I replaced the bulbs thinking maybe they were junk, but nope nothing! I do not have the head light and spot lights on yet but everything else should power up without those!???

As suspected I second guess my self to much and so as I first was asking about the cigarette lighter and what factor it played in the circuit ! Well it seems it does have a very important part!!If it is not grounded there will be no power no where!!!I found it just took awhile!Got power to everything now!
