Title: Radio / CD on Road King's
Post by: crow on March 26, 2009, 08:29:36 AM
I was wondering what others were doing for music on the road.

I just bought one of these

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/HARLEY-RADIO-4-ROAD-KING-HERITAGE-YAMAHA-RON-superTUNER_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp1742Q2em153Q2el1262QQcategoryZ35557QQihZ023QQitemZ360141758724

and was wondering if anyone else had one and how you liked it.
I will post back once I get it and test it.

Put the same thing on my RK this fall and love it! I use an Ipod shuffle through the input jack and have 14 hours of favorite music on it. Installation is straight forward with all hardware. If you have the tach, throw the mounts they send away. They are not heavy enough and will let it vibrate till it breaks

I put one on my old road king, I had to shim the box out from the shield with fiber washers,
test fit everything before tighting. It works good but you need to up grade the antenna that comes with it.
I also used different screws and placed all of the acorn nuts to the front of the shield.

FYI paint it to color match the bike before instalation.
