Title: tuning ? after couple thousand miles on a baffle
Post by: 86fxwg on June 29, 2016, 01:18:10 PM
I built a 103 for a buddy,runs great,no issues what so ever. Pipe is a V&H P.P standard baffle with there rapping.
I noticed the bike has gotten a lot louder,I'm sure the packing is blown out & all that's left is the steel baffle.

Guess my ? Is how much does the tune change when the baffles burn's out or we make a slight baffle change, like changing to a stepped baffle but the same length.

Gday,
My thoughts are that the difference if any would be tiny tiny. The assumption is that the pipes are straight through without anything containing baffle material in the direct line of fire. (Like most)
