Hey, I have an S&S super-E carby on 1998 Road King that is running very very rich both cylinders. I have lots of experience with the CV carb, but not the S&S.

Anyone tell me what S&S jet sizes I should be starting out with to jet this bike tuned?

Bike is stage 1 plus EV13 cam and DTT ignition.

Thanks.

Most start with .295 low speed and 70 or 72 high speed.

S&S has a guide to tuning their carburetors, you can access it on their website, or there several video's out there.

OK thanks,
Stupid question, but do I need genuine S&S jets? Or are the cheaper reproduction ones OK to use??

Cheers

What is the difference in price and availability?

They are much more readily available, and much much cheaper than the very expensive (in Australia) genuine S&S jet kit.... Just concerned about the quality.

Doesn't matter, but stick to whichever.  This is my lesson learned on other carbs.  Don't know how much it effects supers but on the intermediate jet.  S&S has a small counter sink drilled onto the jet and not all after market does.  How much does this really affect things? :nix:
