Just ordered a new pulley for my 1985 FXWG.  It's a KARATA brand, USA made.  Any one ever hear of these.  Are they any good.
Guess i should have asked you folks opinion before I ordered.  Thanks

i don't know anything about that brand pulley....did they say anything about needing a different spacer and seal for the pulley or is it the old style pulley? HD changed the thickness of the pulley in about 94 which required different spacer and seal.

Don't think they're still in business. I had a couple Karata primary belt drives on different bikes, put a lot of miles on 'em, never a hiccup.

Isnt an 85 FXWG a chain drive 4 speed? So the front sprocket would more likely be the Motor sprocket on the primary.
Karata made many primary belt drives, good stuff as far as I have seen.
They don't call me Ironhead Rick just because I'm "hard headed"

I recently rebuilt an '85 four speed, and it needed a pulley. I opted for the V-Twin 20-0449. The Karata pulley is big bucks, and the V-Twin is reasonable and fit like the original.

I know, this was an FXWG. 40212-80D is the correct OEM pulley number.
