2017 RG Ultra-Music thumb drive
« on: April 05, 2019, 11:26:58 AM »
Trying to load up my cd's on a thumb drive.  I hit the media button and it displays about the first 20 cd's and then The display goes"unknown album" for the rest.  Any ideas how I can fix this?  Thanks

Thanks for the reply.  BUT I really don't know how to do that.

Put the thumb into a computer. Click it open, right click within the window and left click the 'new folder' from the drop down list. Do this a few times. Highlight a few songs and drag them to one of the new folders. Repeat
See if that helps.

We make a thumb drive to give to our bike buying customers, I have several files on my PC that have around 800 songs, but all in the form of complete albums. When I make the thumb drive I highlight the entire file on my desk top and copy and paste it to the thumb drive..  the 6.5 system doesn't really like huge files,, anything more that about 4 GB and it take quite a while to read the file,, BTW, the HD sound system can not and will never be able to play country music!! :smilep:
