cuz that new fangled, FI, TC is too unreliable.  It's still runnin', but I gotta change whatevers leakin' in the tank.  Prolly a hole in fuel line.  It's hard starting at times and if I have just a half gallon in tank, I can hear and see fuel squirting inside.    My point?  Can be done, but not an easy road side repair?  I'd prolly do a tow cuz i don't have parts on bike?  Carbs are easy?  I have a shovel?  I've never had the shovel towed?I'm a smart azz?

I saw a lil Ol' Lady dressed in black with a pointed hat riding a broom........

truck

Was this broom carbed or fuel injected?
Listen to the jingle the rumble and the roar.

L-

Truck,

If that broom was airborn and she was on it then it was carbed.............

IBA,

Change it out yourself. New gasket, nuts and high pressure line.  Easy job.

Yeah,  it's easy enough to do.. on the road even.  I'm just not packin' the parts at this time, but may carry the hose, gskt, and pump in the future.

It's going to be at dealer for a 40K prepaid and they'll do it then under warranty... while I've borrowed one of their bikes to ride in the area.

Now I know some of you'll bash me for prepaid but get this.  I bought three years and I'm only into it 14 months.  That's four tires and two brake jobs and oil every 5K.  The bottom line is having a dealer you trust... very hard to come by.  That's why I ride past three of them on my way to this one.  I wasn't sold on the idea until they verbally promised to let me ride one of theirs while it's in shop.  Deal!  And I do borrow a bike most every time

Harley recomends that you change the fuel filter every 25000 miles. the Kit comes with new internal fuel lines.

PHD, I've always bought the pieces parts for when I changed the fuel filter on my 2001 Ultra (EFI).  I was not aware of the kit.  Could you please point me in the direction of the kit because I'm thinking of changing fuel filter soon and with over 100K on my bike it might be a good idea for me to change hoses.  Thanks!

Riding an FLH shovel for 16 seasons and now with a TC Dyna joining it in the stable... I'd like to hear the comparisons too

The 4-3/4 stroker shovel is fun.

The TC is fun...ctional.

I'm in functional mode most of the time...... let's see...  40,000 miles on TC in last 16 months.  4000 on shovel in same period.  What's to compare.  I'd already be doing a top end and lifter rollers on that shovel at 40,000 and my stock TC baggers will go 150,000 miles if I don't crash em first.

TC baggers ruined me..

The ex-father inlaw has a TC street glide??? something like that,,,,Well has a ton of miles in 18 months,,55,000 ..Yeah he is retired and rides everyday,,,way cool..But being a TC when we go to local show n shine no one stops to look at TCs..In my area they are the "chevette" ,,,every one has one..I will admit its never left him stranded and will almost keep up with the shovel...You can't compare the 2,,oranges and apples...Have been thinkin bout a ex cop road king,,but an evo...
I'm gettin older ya know..

Since my post I took the TC Dyna out for a 30 mile loop before sunset.
TC, smooth power, quiet top end, great brakes, great cornering.

The shovel, it is what it is or surely what I make of it. Could be better if I were a real tuner.  I recently turned mine into a two-up bagger with a windshield.  I wouldn't ride it myself and I certainly wouldn't put my wife and daughter on it with me if I thought it was unreliable or unsafe.  Always draws some comments when parked and over the years I've tweaked it to a smooth roller at highways speeds. Runs with my buddies on their evos all day long.
