Kinda embarrassing, but I've owned my 92 FXSTS for 15 years but never noticed the uneven footpegs.  I took a pic of the bike from the rear, and it's very noticeable that the left footpeg is higher than the right.  I've checked the mounts and everything looks as it should.  Anyone else notice this condition?  Hard to believe I've put 70,000 miles on this bike and never noticed this.

Rider pegs or the passenger pegs?  Since the fronts (as I recall) are on a little plates (not coming directly out of the tube frame) I'd suggest that your peg-mount-plates are bent (or perhaps mismatched years?).  The rear ones come right off the frame and if they are not even you have larger problems.

John - thanx for the reply - yea, I should have been clearer.  It's the front pegs.  The mounting plates are prety stout and don't appear bent or damaged at all.  The right side plate is held on with two bolts - one of those is the pivot for the brake.  When I pivot the plate counterclockwise, the peg mounts comes very close to the front pipe, but is definiitely closer to the other side - but then the other bold hole doesn't line up.  Was just curious if this is common or maybe I've got something going on.

Left side has a bracket that can get bent, if ordering one for your bike make sure you get the correct one as there are different versions (FX & FL) don't know about if springer gets one itself. Check to see if frame is bent  where bracket bolts on. See if shift assembly is or gets real close to cylinder.
