I have a 2010 FLHTK with Rush TD's, re-cored Stock Mufflers to 2", K&N AC, and a Dynojet Tuner. The bike runs great but I'd like to upgrade the Cams this winter. I'm looking for Low to Mid range torque. I see allot of the recommendations out there are for the 2 into 1 or the X-Pipe, I'm keeping the TD's. I love the sound.

Thanks

T-man 555 torqster or Andrews 48's will give great low and mid range.

Ignorance is bliss, and accuracy expensive. How much of either can you afford?

+1 for the 48H as bolt in, the 555TQ (or 57H) will need at lest a 0.030" HG

If I were going to do the T-man, it would be the straight 555 with the .030 head gasket. Much better performer.

Matt,

Wouldn't be my first choice either, but if a rider is looking for a nice bump in useable power the 255 for the price to be had gets the job done... especially if one is paying to have the work done. a true bolt in, I'd use the TTS 100
Any other's without pulling the heads is a waste of time & money IMO
Heck, Don posted a thread a while back in doing a basic street port on a bone stock TC was a nice improvement.

Mufflers are 2" Superflow from eBay.

Sounds like the .030 HG should be done as well. Anybody like Red Shift cams?

Basic street port on a stock motor is very effective. I tested that on a stock 95 a few years ago (performance valve job pocket port, and slight milling). If I remember correctly, it picked up 7/9.

Stock heads? 48s

:agree:

:agree:Put 48s in my 2012 103, with 2-1-2 head pipes, Crusher Mellows and S&S Stealth breather.  Used a TTS tuner and really liked the results.  Good low-end torque and carried out pretty decent pulling strong past 5500 RPM.

bluerim

I just sold my T100 cams and fulsac cat free   2-1-2 head pipes to a friend with a new 2016 glide.  The only reason I gave them up is because I now have a 2017 and cannot use them.  He just got a dyno tune with stock heads. He put in stage one and with my stuff he got 90 hp , 110 tq.  One happy camper.

bluerim

I'll correct myself..    The T100 cam dyno report is for a 103.

Which did you chooose ?

I'm torn between the 48 and T100. I considered the 48 before this post but I thought you guys would have other opinions because I am using the TD's.

Is a good idea to do the .030 HG with either of these as well or will that affect their performance?

spdrcr

Go with the 48's. You will not be disappointed.
