My understanding is if the part is EPA approved HAD will not refuse warranty, but perhaps it applies the HD upgrades only.
I would not want to find out the hard way.
I am an adult?? When did that happen, and how do I make it stop?!

In theory it should be legal if done with a EPA tune. (The street tuner would not have a tune to match a true dual set up like that, another issue) That system is not for a 2017 M8.

I have been looking at that system for a while and am hoping that S&S opens up and sells that head pipe by itself, as it has 1.750" outlets on both sides that will allow the use of 2016 and older muffler on current model years. One can hope. :teeth:

There is a part number for this Power Tune Dual M8 head pipe but currently can only be had as the complete El-Dorado system.

It says in the add " bolt on installation, does not require tuning". I guess for a stock bike?

Darren,

I've been going through some of the dyno posts, but came up short handed.  Have you had a chance to test any of these S&S systems for the M8 ?  I've been watching several videos on YouTube and must say they sound pretty nice.  I especially remember the MK45's they had hooked up to a set of Vance and Hines Power Dual head pipes.

Thanks,

Keep up the good work, much appreciated !!

Hello Lucas, no I have not tried the S&S branded mufflers, however I did test some similar mufflers, the Kerker slash appear to have the same baffles and they did ok, but the left side of the graph was down a touch.

Question - I'm adding a set of MK45's to my '17 FLHR. I've gutted the cat but have a stocker ready to reinstall. Right now I'm trying to stay with the Street Tuner to maintain warranty. Can it handle the more open slipons, or should I swap the header back to stock?

In a year I'll be out of warranty and can add what I want then. Darren or Jim will be handling the tuning when I'm ready for that step.

I should add that I'm currently using the HD torque cam and heavy breather setup.

That's great! Thanks. When I talked to my rep a couple of weeks ago she said that the head pipe wasn't available separately.

No problem.  I've been searching for n exhaust for a while now...  but I want something like the Dragula 2 that I had on my last twin cam.
