Well I know the Alternator System has changed, it's dropped from 50A to 40A, new stator, rotor and regulator

So the 50A SE up grade should be available at your nearest dealer soon.

   According to the parts manual the charging is 48 amps and the stator is the only think that change, the rotor and regulator is the same.

That is correct, my bad      it's the Softails that are 40A, new stator, rotor and regulator

There were claims I read somewhere of it now taking a lower rpm to yield the same amperage as previous designs.
