99-06 inner gear spec change

Now kits have inner gears with 2 dots each to time up,

Are cams the same as always e.g.: will older single dot inners fit on ok?

How do you mean two each? There's one dot on each inner gear.

Not sure when they made the change
New type are front or rear fit , looks if you needed to go 002 up or down size 2 gears are required!

Looks the same to me, rear cam key is at 9:00 and the front is at 3:00.

presume bore dia the same, as that would change cams otherwise.

S&S quote "cams with early and late gear styles must not be used together"

again presume just the context of mixing them, as in trying to align 3 dots
