You get two years of warranty, you are going to hit winter in the beginning or the end of warranty!

I mentioned this to a guy that was kicking tires on new bikes one day and he told me he was going to wait for the same reason. After I mentioned he was going to have it sit during winter no matter what I just got a blank stare. I am not sure he figured it out!

My 2018 FLSL Softail Slim is supposed to be released by HD tomorrow 10/19 but no VIN forwarded to the dealer yet. Seems the pipeline has slowed some say due to prior year unsold inventory and maybe a slowdown in production for some reason. My bike's paid for and I have all winter but

I test rode the Heritage Classic and I really liked it. It handled very well, had lots of power and I liked the looks. I was ready to buy but the dealer only offered $5,000 trade in for my 2012 FLD Switchback with 40,000 miles. Guess I'll keep shopping.

I'm trying to get info on the new Inner (37200261) and Outer (37200262) Ramps that HD have installed in those 2018 Softails, hell the HD Dealer can't/wont tell me anything and they don't (!) have any to sell me.

I tracked a guy in Oz and asked him to take some pix for me when he had the Clutch Release Cover off, but it never happened.

So if you ever take it off please take some pix.  TIA

they are both also shown in the parts manuals and the online shops,

what's not shown is an actual image, the relationship of the outer ramp tang in relationship to the 3 ball ramps, the length (angle) of the 3 ball ramps, the length of the arm on the inner ramp, etc, etc, .........

I talked with a guy yesterday that was riding a new Heritage.   He said he has had lots of Harley's over the years and he thought this 2018 Heritage was the best Harley he has ever had.    I didn't tell him I thought the flat red color was ugly.

we have sold 1, the new fatboy S,, 5 days later the guy traded it in for a new streetglide special.. therefor I have a used 2018 Fatboy with 166 miles for sale..

It appears only new riders here like them, everyone I know doesn't like the look . A few have ridden them and like the power but didn't like the bike. I saw a Heritage a few weeks ago  black rims almost no chrome , hideous .

I've been tossing around a FatBoy or Heritage. I took the Fatboy 114 out on Saturday during a Ride the New Bikes event at the dealer and it rattled and shook, but very strong runner. Softail Street Bob, same thing. Heritage which I was interested in, broke down and in the truck! As well as the Softail Slim.
A ride event and 2 bikes break down and the other bikes are rattling and sloppy!
Heritage on the floor - nice paint on tins,  little chrome and black rims!
So far, not impressed.
Keeping my EVO for now.

Got my 2018 Pearl Fat Boy 107 11/3. Traded off 2017 Deluxe. My 2nd Fat Guy and first was a 2013 110th Anniversary in bronze and black. Local shop ruined it with a 110 kit they never could tune right with HD's dongle and I didn't know about using PV or FP-3's. No tuners locally.

Can't ride as winter here until May so is now it's a man cave ornament. They simplified the 2018's no doubt. It probably cost less to produce and hopefully will hold together. Engine's quieter than the TC and exhaust deeper and better tone. It'll need a shield and beer rack plus earlier fork fangs modified to fit. They stop up flow behind the shield. Going to leave it stock as long as I can.

After I was done taking a 18 Fatbob 114 for a test ride I went home on my bone stock, 1700 mile, 93 FXLR and thought man, this bike is just as smooth as that new 18 just not as much power.
