Will 2017 CVO 114 cylinders fit a 2018 117 CVO.  Reason for this is we cannot get a straight set from HD.  We will bore these to size.  THX

I actually have a set in the shop bored for a 120 combo with Mahle Pistons, I see no reason they wouldn't as these came off a 114 changed up to a 117 The 114 cvo cylinders do have the necessary material
If you don't have a sense of humor you probably have no sense at all.

curious how much they punch them to get to 120 using a 114 cylinder.

The stock 107" cylinders don't have thick enough liners to bore large enough for a 120" The Screamin Eagle cylinder they sell in the 114" big kits are slightly thicker and people are boring out to 4.185 for a 120". I bought a set of the 114" cylinders and only had the bored to 4.125 for a 117". This leave a little more meat and I know they bored correctly. The Harley cylinders are mass produced and are not always perfect right out of the box.

Well then why are performance shops machining 107 cylinders with no reported failures.

Nastytls

They are not boring 107 cylinders to 120, they are using CVO cylinders to get to 120.

Rusty Steel

I sure would like to see a firm answer on this. Two different opinions... and who are "they"
If it ain't broke... Fix it until it is.

Nastytls

They are the aftermarket performance shops that sell big bore kits.

Prostock

What we are doing with the 114 cylinders is fitting them to the SE "Mahle" high compression 117 pistons.  Had a new 117 cylinder set from harley, but they didn't measure out, yes with torque plates.  Know we can go bigger.  Don't get me wrong, do alot of 107 TC with great results but this is what the customer wants.

That's cool Prostock, "Mahle" is a well respected piston. The M8 is a new learning curve and I am enjoying this new beast. Thanks Nastyls, you answered my question.
