That failure point is a bit disturbing. Shouldn't happen.

No other damage. Wasn't making noise of any kind. After it happened i still made about a dozen 1\4 mile passes at 120mph plus. With the rotor not spinning, might of made me faster. Lol

No other damage. Wasn't making noise of any kind. After it happened i still made about a dozen 1\4 mile passes at 120mph plus. With the rotor not spinning, might of made me faster. Lol

Wonder why things might be breaking ???

broke right at the weld. happened right after I had an issue where tbw went into limp mode twice at 7000 rpm 4th gear. it felt pretty violent. solid comp sprocket(broke stock comp cam earlier this year). don't know if this was a factor in breakage, just info

Gut feeling is the area in question isn't strong enough to hold the c forces at high rpms. Failure likely started from the cracks in the slots then worked around the edge of the weld. 7000 rpm with the heavy outer rim would tend to stretch things.

if it happens again, going to look into a using a twin cam rotor
