When changing mufflers on a 2009 model do you need to change the ECM download? I thnik I have read the the new bikes self adjust to changes to the mufflers or air cleaner.

Thanks

Your bike is purposley tuned for emissions which makes it run hot.
Anything you do to improve air flow through the engine will add to heat.
Recalibration of your ECM to run a bit cooler will help a ton not to mention the side effcect of more power, better throttle response, and great mileage.
