I've purchased a 124" kit for an M8. The pistons were supplied with: top, bottom & oil expander rings, as well as two compression rings. It also came with what's called an "oil support ring" which I'm not familiar with. My understanding from the instructions is that it's due to the fact that part of the oil ring support is gone due to a notched cutout for the wrist pin. So my question is, do I install this support ring in lieu of the bottom oil ring? It's noticeable thicker than the oil rings and there's no way to get 4 rings in to that grove, so it has to be some combination of the 3.

Don't know what pistons you have. But that's a very common design for TC motors as well with 4-5/8" stroke. Any of the CP pistons I've used all four will fit.

Support rail on the bottom, then the oil ring assembly on top of it.

OK, it did fit, but it was tight. Thank you.
