Helping a friend putting this bike back together
this is where i'm at with the bike, the blinker lights come on i hit the blinker the light goes out happens with both sides?
Rear turn signals not hooked up yet
Ideas
Thanks in advance
The speedo is not hooked up yet, if that makes any difference.

Are the turn signal lights on, or the running lights? Two filament bulb or one?
Either way, check ground. Are the handlebars grounded?
The rears may need to be hooked up to work properly, not sure on those old systems.

On my 1983 FLH if a bulb is out and I hit the T/S the good bulb will light but not blink, it seems the front and rear is in a loop.

Burnout

That was my thought, the TS may not blink with just one bulb.

I use an electronic flasher so it doesn't matter what bulbs you have hooked up.
They don't call me Ironhead Rick just because I'm "hard headed"

Thank you, will check some more

My 78 shovelhead you have to hold the button to keep signal flashing. Makes it hard to operate the clutch or throttle/brake.

My 1980 FXWG works the same way...have to hold the button.

PkgMan

We got 'em flashing, just flashing slowly

Try a different flasher not a heavy duty one.

Yeah when I switch to my 76 and I finally find that little button usually I am already into the turn.
