Shovel and Evo wheel hubs ; spokes ?

I have accumulated several spoke hubs. Some have 1/2" from flange to bearing end. Some are shorter on one side.  Anyone can tell me what that's all about?

Not definitively, but I believe the 16", 19", and 21" wheels/hubs have varying dimensions from hub center to spoke flange.
