There are aftermarket cams available but you may lose your warranty.
An important consideration IMHO

With the latest Government ruling, you just might not loose your warranty.  I think it has to be proven that the after market cam caused damage to the bike.

They don`t have to prove anything, all they have to do is deny the claim, then it is up to you to get a lawyer and fight them in court.

When choosing a cam, what are your goals? Hot riding? Cruising? Two-up?
The CR480 is a good all around cam, as is the Woods 222, but there are at least a dozen that will work great for you.
Take a look at the stickied threads with Fuel Moto (Jaime Long) and Durwood testing multiple cams, plus a lot of info in the dyno section. The motor sizes might be diferrent, but the cam characteristics carry over.
If the government gives you everything you want,
it can take everything you have.

Thanks mate, the problem here is that the new street glide st 117 is based on the 117 CVO and SE genuine cams are not available. I'll take a look to the threads suggested. Cheers[/quote]

Is this the cam you now have?

Screamin' Eagle SE8-462 cam

It's listed on the website as "stage 2" along with the assorted parts in the kit.
Ecm reprogramming is also needed.

Looks like the OP is in Italy, and there are no stage kits for the 117ST in Italy. If warranty is a concern, leave it stock, and ride it until the desire to void the warranty takes over :).
If warranty is no concern, then take a look at dyno sheets on the WWW and see if any of them fits you riding style.
I like the TTS175, Red Shift 468, or S&S 475 cams for a thumpy idle and good mid range power.
Ignorance is bliss, and accuracy expensive. How much of either can you afford?
