clutch cable length

I have a set of handlebars that the stock ones are just a little too short . I can either go +3 or+6 . It's a 98 Heritage Springer and I put some Wild1 Knuckle WO519 bars on it . Any thoughts ?

Tape a 12" piece of 3/8" hose to the stock cables and position the modified test cable how it will have to go.  Mark and measure.
