S&S Inner Primary Bearing Race

Can anyone explain to me what keeps an S&S inner bearing race from walking into the transmission seal.
I believe I saw a Cad diagram of the part on this forum

it's the internal taper on the race that is stopped by the taper on the mainshaft

Don't press it on too far or it will break.  You need to press it on just to where it touches the taper & stop.

GREAT explanation FSG, I remember going through this a few years ago. I have that race on my Grudgebox.
