What's the general feeling on conicals versus dual springs now days? Dual still a safer option against failure or have the conicals held up so well a single spring is enough? Also is there such a thing as dual conicals in the HD world?
Just wondering.

Hilly ive had comp cams beehive for 12 years .619 lift cam no probs. Lots of god ones out there. SE had issues . PSI springs get a good rap.

I install a LOT of Beehives from AV&V. no complaints.
Conical are different from Beehive but look similar.
Dual conical springs is overkill for a street driven bike or car if you ask me.

We use Comp Cams conicals on high rpm applications. They work wonderful. We've literally achieved 8K rpm on them with only 184lbs on the seat, with nary a sign of float or bounce.

But for applications that don't need that kind of rpm, we favor the AV&V 6500's, which are a beehive, not a conical.
