Has the front axle diameter changed on the touring bikes between 2000 and 2016? Or even 2023? I bought some take off chrome lower sliders from an M8 bike. I expect them to fit my 2016 Street glide Special. I am planning to sell my sliders to a fellow rider that has a 2006(or so) Road King.

Will this work for both of us?

2007 down touring is a 1.00 inch axle. 2008 up is 25.0mm

sorry but the axle bearing size has nothing to do with it. check the holes in the bottom legs and the size of the axle extremities.

The axle opening in the slider won't be an issue. At worst case it would be 0.015" small for the early bikes. It can be opened up. The issue with M8 and TC is fork tube size. Better look into that.

2006 tubes were 41mm, 2014 & newer are 49mm.
Ignorance is bliss, and accuracy expensive. How much of either can you afford?
