2005roadglide!

Hi I got a 2005 road glide I'm doing a ultima 113 and a ultima 6 speed  I'm trying to figure  out  what I should be running for my pulleys now that I'm going to a 6 speed currently have s 32 in front and 70 in rear stock gearing  wondering how that will work with the new motor and 6 speed I don't want it to be a dog any advice would be great thanks

Try it like it is. If you're not happy, put a 30 on the front.

As John said, try it see what you think.

The main change will be the Ultima transmissions 1st gear is 9% higher than the 5 speed transmission, so it may feel slower from a stop. 3rd gear is 2% higher in the Ultima, 2nd, 4th, 5th are the same, and you have 6th as over drive. Below are calculated RPM's in each gear at specific speeds for both transmissions with stock primary and secondary gearing.

Just so you can see what a change at the transmission from 32 to 30 as John mentioned looks like.

The second row is overall gearing, stock is 3.150:1, 30 tooth pulley is 3.360:1. A reduction of 7% in gearing. You can see the differences in RPM at road speeds and gear changes.

Your 6th gear would still be an overdrive compared to the 5th gear in the stock gearbox. A lot depends on how you ride, highway needing top speed, backroads, etc.

With a 113 I doubt it will feel like a dog.

I will attest to that.

Run what ever gearing you want, you will have the torque of a car engine at your command. But as all have already said, stick with what you got and only consider changing it if there is a problem. Which I doubt there will be...
