Always seems like there is something better than what the MOCO uses.  So is there an upgrade of the clutch hub bearing 37906-90?

Just Google that part number.  When I replaced mine it was about $90, lots of the aftermarket ones are a lot less and that does not mean they are better.  The stock ones are open (you can see the insides) many of the aftermarket are not, and I would avoid one of those since it can't get oil from the primary (or al least not as much).  Just my 2 cents worth.

SKF 3207 CD3 is listed in US measure, close enough for government work.

Outer Diameter: 2.8346"  (71.99884mm)
Inner Diameter: 1.3780"  (35.0012mm)
Width: 1.06259"  (26.989786mm)

Is there some evidence of OEM clutch hub bearings failing prematurely, over the past 50 years or so?

No idea but I need one for a new build.

I grabbed a few photos of the SKF bearing while in the shop. Last I remember these are about half of what the OEM price is. You may have to shop to get that price.

HighLiner, PM or post if you find a good price on this bearing. I bought a used 2001 model 3.37 gearing and will replace this bearing
