So i have a 116" twincam when i built engine i bought a HPI throttle body called them and they told me i needed a 53mm(this was awhile ago) so thats what i got, then the big throttle body craze started and now i am feeling mine is way to small, so how much am i missing out on, i could have them modify mine to 55 i suppose, but bang for buck is it worth it

I'd call Jimmy and ask him what the TB will support.

When I spoke to him about my 62/64mm TB and asked should I get a 68mm, he said if the rest of the motor supports it, the 62/64mm will be good for up to 180hp. He could have just sold me a 68mm, but he said that what I have will work for my goals. He's a stand up guy.

"the 62/64mm will be good for up to 180hp."

IIRC pretty much why Mike Roland settled on the WT 57mm TB for what builds were back then. Dyno Testing over marketing.

That straight bore 57 flat out works really well.
