head breathing whistle with S&S super

I have a MoCo exchange engine (99 version) in the 86.

I recently replaced the rocker cover and lower gaskets and little umbrellas.

It runs fine and doesn't leak, but now I have a whistle through the breather hose in the carb base plate.  I don't recall it moving so much air before.  Now it is noticable but I can stop it and there is no noise if I cover the hole with my finger.

I put the new discs in the holes that had the old ones.  Do these things breath that much?
