Crank case vents

I've been sorting out the issues with my newly built Pan....oil pressure,leaks,etc.
So today.....I decided to do what I've done in the past on Pans and my 66 slabside shubbel
Use  a spyke pcv type vent on the end of the breather hose................I dont know if it actually is doing anything,I'll have to log some miles to see
Just curious to know if anyone else Here has done likewise and have had positive results on Pressure,performance,etc.
