Shovelish question regarding FXR parts interchangability

Hi Guys.

Slightly off shovel question, but possibly shovel related, and anyway, everyone knows this board is the best for help.
Guy I know has a late 80's EVO FXR (S) we think.
It was fitted with forward controls and cowhorns by previous owner, which just look wrong on this bike.
Long question short, when hunting on ebay etc for midcontrols, they are billed as 83-91 fitting, which might possibly cover shovels.
Can anyone tell me if all years are interchangeable as far as brake pedal and mounting lug and the gearchange side footpedal bracket ?.
This bike has a cylinder type rear brake cylinder if that helps.

I think they are the same for shovels & most evo's   possibly the much later evo had a different r/h footrest mount I know the dyna r/h side bolts onto the side of the frame rather than down onto it, however a dyna l/h would probably fit I have one somewhere in the shed will check & post later. yep the l/h dyna footrest looks the same as an fxr
