Finally had a chance to start the 68 I have been working on.   We had to use a squirt bottle to keep it going.  The carb is not drawing at all.  How difficult it is to rebuild a Tillotson carb and where do i find a kit?  Im in Southwestern Ontario about 70 miles east of Detroit/Windsor.

Thanks

If you need a manual, or info on rebuilding, let me know and I'll see if I can photocopy my Service Manual.

Did you bleed it? Theres a little hole on the underside of the plastic diaphram cover.Use a straightened out paper clip and gently push up,untill gas burbles out into the venturi. The carb won't work till you do this.A well set up Tillotson is awesome on the road!!!

I've got 8 pages of the October '65 manual dealing with the Tillotson Carb. Send me your email cuz the file is too large to post (28.3 MB).
