Some time ago I thought I had seen posted some plans for a home made Bike lift made out of a 2x6 or 2x8 that had a metal pole attached to it at a 90 degree angle that allowed you to lift the bike off the ground.

I only need to stand the bike upright so that I can change all 3 fluids.

Any ideas?  Other than buying a bike lift

Thanks

FSG

I've got the pic and dims here somewhere, while I look here's a few pix of another lift to look at.

I finally got aroung to making one of these $20 bike lifts.  (No longer have acccess to a handi lift).  It took about a half hour, taking my time, and it turned out GREAT!  I had to cut a notch between the frame rails to accomodate the low hanging softail air shocks.  Put the carpet on it to save the paint.  I can lift the bike with one hand on the bars, and the other hand on the pipe and it just pops up and is very stable when lifted.

Thanks to everyone that posted the link or initiated this topic!
