bike has been setting awhile. about 2 years. cannot hold fly weights in points. replaced point plate and all other pieces. shaft seems 2 move in and out.any help is appreciated. thanks

a thrust problem may indicate a sprocket side bearing issue (left side of engine).worth checking.Salty

 hello have another ? i was told the oil pump went out  on my 78 1000 xlch trying 2 round up info . wanting to get her back up. had the  heads redone . going to tear her down this winter . would like to get her dependable.
