kick stand problem

07 883L the kickstand pops up when you lift bike,and you have to hold it down to put
bike on it.this is hard for my wife the foot pegs hit her shins. any one else have this
problem and how did you fix it

easy fix would be is try to get a different spring or change to other hole on kickstand tab.

The problem is with the spring tab on the leg. You can fix it with a hammer. It needs to be positioned more inside and behind the leg, bike on the stand as you view it from the left side. Tap it forward from the back side and improve the angle a little and then test it. You only need to go so far don't over do it, very common problem. Lube the pivot and the spring.
