So i have a 01 softail with the tmax ,  whats on bike

116"  (open belt drive)
engine pulley = 45
clutch pulley = 71
trans sprocket = 32
rear wheel pulley = 70
baker direct drive 5 speed with close ratio 1st
wheels are 17" (07 fatboy wheels) tires are low profile metzler

so the stock setting is 04352

when i ride took a GPS because it seemed that the speedo was slow and it is about 5mph slow
so i changed using the xls sheet and it made not change ,

then i took 65 / 70 = .9286
then .9286 * 04352 = 4041  so i plugged this in still no change the bike is still off 5 to 6 mph

and yes i wrote the basic setting to map and even reread the module map and settings from bike after to make sure it was the correct setting .

so then i set it at 04663 took it the other way no diff. still off 5mph slow.

So is the 01 a different animal because of the non databus stuff or am i missing something.

This is just my guess but in 2001, 2002 and 2003 the speedo is not controlled completely by the ECM. The system has the speed sensor and that goes straight to the speedo and then that signal get sent over to the ECM. It may be that you cannot control them in your model year because of this with the Tmax. Someone who knows the TMax would better answer your question but I can see how this would be a problem.
The Best you know, is the Best you've had........ not necessarily the Best.
