I have looked but have not found any Pics or video's on " How to inspect cam chain tensioners ".
My 05 ultra has 23,000 mi. and this looks like a thing that should be done.
With all the money crisis that is going on now I want to save a few $$$ and at least do the inspection myself.
Has anyone seen this type info.?
Where.??
Thanks Tollbooth

Here it is from another site. I just happened to have that one handy and I know it is around HTT somewhere. Hope nobody takes offense.

Good timing!  I just checked mine at 22K miles 03 RK.  Tensioners were OK, but hard surface on cam was another story.  Always use Syn, change 3K or less and not ridden hard.  New bearings (torrington), cams 26's.  Cam wear is attributed to poor quality cam and bearings!!!

I replaced stock cams with Andrews 26g's at 33,000 miles on an '04 FLHRI. The tensioners would have gone another 33,000 easy but the rear cam had deep grooving on the inner bearing journal surface and I'm glad I got it out of there before the bearing took a dump. No way to inspect for this other than to pull the cams.
