2010 DBW bikes have 4-wire O2 sensor in front pipe.

and scroll down to section on touring bikes.

What will the front O2 sensor do, now that it is 4-wire?

Can this be a retrofit to an 09 bike?

If it can...  will it be an advantage for a tune?

Come on...  Steve Cole, YOU have the answer :hyst:
Oh No!

Probably easier to just refer to Page 58 of the 2010 , Model Year Technical Forum

The additional wire(s) are for the 4W heater.
Heated sensors not new but new for Harley.
Heater to help enable lightoff in less than 12 seconds to assist in lowering cold engine emissions.
Heater to help maintain proper operating heat due to sensor's cooler (farther downsteam) location.
New thread size is 12mm.
It remains a switching sensor.

Previous (and still current on non Touring models) sensors use engine/exhaust heat to maintain operating temp.
Initial lightoff can take much longer.
If too rich and at idle, sensor can get (remain) too cold to work properly.

Retrofit? IMO it appears no real advantage other than to assist in lowering cold engine emissions.

From testing in the lab, it has been shown that the heated O2 will outlast non-heated O2 sensors by a 15 to 1 margin.
Couple that with the failure rate MOCO has seen on O2's it was a wise move. The key word here is move .

The heated sensor in and of itself is no big deal. What will become a big deal possible is the location of the sensors and aftermarket exhaust. With the new location there will be a fair amount of cross talk and a too freeflowing exhaust may cause issues. As long as the cat is left in place things will be fine but remove it and who knows what's going to happen. As has been mentioned by others these have been around for a long time and have proven to work well.
The Best you know, is the Best you've had........ not necessarily the Best.

Was looking at a 2010 bike and it loks like we are back to the sniff tube outside of v tune.   I doubt that the pipe makers are going to have two sets of 02 bungs but we can hope.

2010 Touring O2 Sensor pics below.
2010 Touring 2-1 and 2-1-2 headpipes and 2010 FLHX/FLTRX muffler are ordered.
Will forward all to Fullsac for dissection, cat removal and performance upgrade evaluation.
Crosstalk (or not...hopefully) of the F&R O2 sensors will be determined. (If someone has already confirmed this...please post details).
Dozen 12mm bungs on the way too. May try set of aught nine B7 TD's on a '10 Touring bike. Of course 255's with a TTS Lambda tune <g>.

Other 2010 items of recent inquiry:
FLHTK: Cams are same p/n as the 96 engines.
FLHTK: Clutch spring is the 2004 320 lb p/n (yellow) spring.
