the original HTT data?  Maybe I'm wrong but I thought it was going to be archived.  Is it somehow accessable?  There was so much useful info, it'd be a shame if it's gone.

It's not "gone".  At least one of the admins made a full copy of the site before it was closed down.  The challenge is finding a way to make that data accessible.
