Gas Caps for 50 FL

The gas tanks on my 50 FL have a crossover hose.  This means only the right side cap must be vented and the left cap can be sealed.  Is this correct?

When you say your tanks have a crossover hose, do you mean that your tanks have a crossover line at the top of the tanks? If so the right tank uses a vented cap and the left is non vented

My crossover is on the bottom of the tanks and is routed low.  I think the gasket on my left-side non-vented tank is leaking some.  I "overfilled" it a little and the gas seeped out the left cap, even though it is a non-vented cap.  I bought another non-vented cap and used an extra gasket on it.  I'll see how that works.  Unfortunately my work interferes with my playtime.  I also noticed in the V-Twin catalogue I can purchase new tanks at reasonable prices including a 5.0 gallon tank with a shifter lever.  Anyone use these tanks before?
