i just rebuilt the carb on my 1000,its hard starting,back firing,flame out the exhaust,and carb help!!!clean the rotor,started good idledgood shut it off waited 15 mins same thing again?/ can any buddy help/

it ran fine,before 50-70 mph,i wanted to rebuild the keihen carb because of hard starting,poor performance,getting proper spark,top end just got rebuilt,put the carb back together right,seems that its not getting enough gas to the plugs though,,

i looked the my manual and decided to look at the rotor it was rusted and covered with white stuff sanded it off starts fine now need to adjust the jets,anyone have an idea on the middle range jet?

just run the air/fuel mix screw in till it starts to stumble, then back it out about a 1/4 turn, all should be good. unless someone has put bigger jets in it.
