NEED HELP---TOURING BIKE IGNITION SWITCH TAB ALIGNMENT

I've been installing different bars on an FLHX and can't get the ignition switch to drop back in. I've been moving the front forks so they aren't locked. Can someone tell me how to align the tabs without the Harley alignment tool?   Thanks for any help.

i reached in to the switch with a long screwdriver to line up the slots then put the key part in.

I second the long skinny screwdriver,  but use a flashlight to check visually. Don't they both need to be full clockwise? Acc. position?
