DISCLAIMER: THIS IS A REPRINT TOPIC FROM "OLD" HTT

I have saved many great topical discussions as "links" over the years and would hate to see these lost, so I am reprinting this TOPIC here, which may "perhaps" help some.

'02 Ultra.
I was trying to start the bike with a low battery and it stored a trouble code. I've tried disconnecting the battery and the code persists. I would like to erase it so that if there ever is a trouble code, I'll know it. Thanks in advance.
Dan.

I believe it will go away in 50 starts or you can go to someone with the machine to do it.  R.

Here's the procedure on my '03:

Leave run-off switch in off.
Turn ignition switch 3 times, on-off-on-off-on (leave on)
Hit left turn signal twice - you'll get two flashes
Hit right turn signal once - one flash
Hit right turn signal once - two flashes
Hit right turn signal once - three flashes
Hit left turn signal once - the stored codes will start flashing
Hold left turn signal down until you get two flashes - codes are cleared.

Don't ask why I have this memorized. :)

Messgage 4 offered no further insight....

Anything added beyond this point is new information.
