Can anyone recommend an online source for S&S? (tools)
The first thing i need is their 2 piece socket kit to remove their compression releases- part # 53-0045

just measured and i need a 1" deepwell standard, an impact has too thick sidewalls to fit in the recess- on to plan b

Just going to throw this out there. What's wrong with a box wrench.

It is too deep for an offset box wrench... Takes about 3" offset plus you need to be able to turn it down or remove it with the wires attached.
