Are the head gaskets that come in the top end gasket kit part number 17052-99B suitable to high compression builds and what is the thickness of them?  Thanks, Calvin.

It won't have the .030 Cometic gasket which is the preferred choice.
More to the picture than meets the eye.

that kit comes with stock gaskets  .052

In my opinion, the stock gasket is too thick for a performance build, need to control the squish with a thinner gasket. For pistons with a zero deck height, the Cometic multi layered steel gaskets in .030" are the way to go.

Calvin,

jireh sells the Cometic top end kits (with .030" hg's) for about $65.  The TC big bore part number is 77-449 and the standard bore is 77-448.
