08 Stock Dyna Fat Bob engine ping and knock

Is mine the only bike that suffers from engine ping and knock? Starts around 2500 RPM, medium to hard throttle. I have a oil cooler, XIEDS, octane boost. With a windshield, I can hear the ping is very loud and intermitted. Harley gives me the run around and says E.P.A. regulations causes it to run lean. I believe that, but It shouldn't ping and knock.  It's driving me NUTS. I wish I kept my 06.
